Lash FAQ

How is it done?

The lashes are applied individually to your natural lash and bonded with a specially formulated lash glue. Each lash is isolated and then the extension is bonded to lay flush with your own lash. They should feel comfortable and look natural.

Will the extensions damage my natural lashes?

No. The individually applied lashes will not damage your natural lashes. Your esthetician will carefully choose the right fit for you with your lash health in mind. If your desired look is too heavy for your natural lashes, we will advise you to try a lighter look. It is important that aftercare procedures be followed to ensure the health of your natural lashes.

How long do they last?

A full set of eyelash extensions lasts approximately 3-5 weeks.

The extensions are bonded to your natural lashes, they will last as long as your natural lash cycle, which can be different for each person. On average, we shed 1-3 lashes a day.As your natural lashes begin to shed, the extensions will fall off with them.

Can I wear lash extensions if I wear glasses or contacts?

Yes. If you wear glasses, let us know so we can choose a lash length that is appropriate for your frames.

If you wear contact lenses, please remove them before your appointment if you don’t feel comfortable to nap with them on. You may continue wearing your contact lenses after the set is done. Refrain from excessive eye drops 24 hours after a lash application.

How often should I get my lashes done?

Option 1:
You may touch up  your lashes after 2-3 weeks of the full set. We recommend no more than 2 touch ups between full sets to maintain good lash health.

Option 2:
Or you may get a full set of lashes every 3-5 weeks. This is the best option, as we will remove all the old lashes and clean and prep the lash line for a fresh new set.

Option 3: You can have a one time application for a special occasion or just for fun. When you are tired of them, just come in and we can remove the rest.

What are the lashes made of?

We primarily use mink lashes as they are softer and more natural looking. We do carry select sizes in silk lashes as well.

Could I have an allergic reaction?

Yes, although rare. Most allergic reactions to eyelash extensions are due to the adhesive. If you feel that you may be sensitive to the products we use, then we can perform a test patch to see how you react, or you can request that we use a hypoallergenic glue. It may take up to 72 hours to see a reaction. We advise that you do not continue wearing the lashes if you experience an allergic reaction, as this could lead to discomfort and infections.

What if my lashes don’t feel comfortable after my service?

If you cannot find comfort after brushing your lashes, please try to let us know as soon as possible. We will gladly do our best to help you achieve comfort. We want you to feel comfortable and show off your new set of lashes!

What if some of the lashes fall out after my service?

If you experience an abnormal amount of lash fallout following your full set application, please do call us to arrange an appointment (free of charge) within seven days of your original booking for us to replace the missing lashes.

Unfortunately, following a touch-up service it is much more difficult to offer the same guarantee as the existing older lash extensions may be ready to fall at anytime.

What is the difference between a full set and a touch-up lash service?

A full set is a new set of lash extensions applied to your natural lashes or the removal of your existing set and application of a new full set.

A touch-up is when we apply more lash extensions to your existing set of lashes. Most of our clients come in for a touch-up service between 2 – 4 weeks after their full set was applied. There is no removal in a touch-up service, just application.
